The Women Warrior Veterans of Wilson County (WWV) aim to reconnect women veterans in our community with one another through our wide range of events. 

• Market Days, Veterans Quarterly Breakfasts, Festivals & Home and Garden show, etc. WWV sets up table displays at various events. Organizational information is available at each event.  

• The WWV is a member of the La Vernia Chamber of Commerce. As such, we support its mission to promote the development of local businesses and enhance the economic attractiveness of the Greater La Vernia and surrounding areas. 

• We invite guest speakers to our monthly meetings and participate in Wilson County News interviews. The reasons and topics will vary based on the interests of our veteran community.  Speakers address subjects such a wartime experiences, veteran’s benefits and services, laws affecting our veterans, and changes in current military service, to name a few.

• Wreaths Across America (WWA) is a national non-profit organization founded in 2007 to continue and expand the annual wreath-laying ceremony at Arlington National Cemetary.  The program was begun by Maine businessman Morrill Worcester in 1992.  WWA’s yearlong mission is to Remember the Fallen, Honor those who serve, and Teach the Next Generation the value of freedom.  Since 2008, Congress proclaims a Saturday in December as National Wreaths Across America Day.  Please visit the site on our website or visit the WWA National site.

The WWV follows a high standard of ethics and values…pride in service to country, community, and fellow veterans, physical and mental disciplines, leadership within the community, and honor to fallen comrades.  The WWV make a difference.
